TEOS-AEAP Coupling Agent - MESIL® ME-792

MESIL® ME-792, N-(2-Aminoethyl-3-aminopropyl)trimethoxysilane (AEAPTMS), is an organosilane compound used as a coupling agent in a variety of applications. Like other aminosilanes, it has both amino and methoxy functional groups, which allow it to react with both inorganic surfaces, such as glass or metals, and organic surfaces, such as polymers or resins.

MESIL® ME-792 and Fumed Silica are often used together to produce inorganic-organic hybrid materials. Fumed silica, also known as pyrogenic silica, is a fine, highly dispersed form of silica obtained through the vapor-phase oxidation of silicon tetrachloride.
