Functional Silane for Epoxy-based composites

MESIL® ME-560, γ-Glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane(γ-GPTMS or GPTS) is a silane compound that contains a glycidoxy (GO) functional group and a trimethoxysilane (TMS) group.

MESIL® ME-560 is commonly used in the production of epoxy-based composites and coatings to improve the adhesion between the epoxy resin and the inorganic substrate. When combined with Fumed Silica, an ultra-fine silica powder, the resulting material can have improved properties such as increased stiffness, reduced shrinkage, and improved thermal stability.
